March 12 update: Snow, snow and more snow!!! Ski trails roller groomed, track setting in Saturday

Two volunteers were out Saturday daytime, roller grooming and track setting the ski trail system after the new snow.

Ski Trails: The cross country ski trails are in excellent shape, this new snow has helped a lot. One or two volunteers may go out to re-groom the skate lanes Sunday. Any south facing trails on asphalt will be affected by the sun and trees to the north; conditions will change fast on sunny days, sun exposed track setting will ice up fast.

Fat bike/Snowshoe trails: The shared pink and brown pin flagged fat bike and snowshoe trails (FB/SS) have not been snowmobile packed, however quite a few bikers were out Saturday on the trail systems. A volunteer may be able to get out on a snowmobile on the south pink-flagged trail system later today after repairing one of our shed roofs from a break-in two days ago.

200 paid memberships would ensure that this not profit would become financially sustaining as far as covering yearly operating costs to run Shaganappi in the winter. Thank you to the 58 households whom have become members in 2023, and the one household which joined since March 9th, every bit helps!!!
