Feb. 3 2026, Conditions
Skiing - Probably goes without saying Skiing is over at Shag until new snow arrives - Ice Rules what little SNOw is left. Fat Biking - The Green Flag (Yips) / Multi Use Yellow Flag Routes and the 2 Southern most Blue Flag Trails (Infinity) are actually just OK. Ride slow - yes some Ice lurks little mud to speak of--riding on the grass is OK but often wet. Watch hills of course though many are clear of snow and ice. Avoid all the Eastern most Blue Flag trails, bumpy from w

Jan 30th, 2026 - Conditions Report
Fat Biking - The Green Flag (Yips) / Multi Use Yellow Flag Routes and the 2 Southern most Blue Flag Trails (Infinity) are actually pretty good. Ride slow - yes some Ice lurks but is bonded lightly--no mud to speak of--ride on the grass where possible as it's still frozen. Watch hills of course though many are clear of snow and ice. Avoid all the Eastern most Blue Flag trails, bumpy from walkers and poor bonding to the underlying ice. XC Skiing/Skating - Only on the top

January 5th, 2026 Conditions
All trails are open and conditions are excellent for skate skiing and fat biking. Classic XC have old tracks to follow. Please find the ski trails and refrain from creating your own path. Flags denote trails for bikes except multi-use yellow trail. Walkers, please use yellow trail. The blue trail is for advanced fat biking, green is beginner fat biking. Please note, dogs are not allowed on the trails!

January 3rd, 2026 Conditions
Conditions are good for skiing and fat biking. Almost all trails were groomed. Good skate ski conditions. Old tracks exist on all xc ski trails but you might have to search for them. Ice still exists under thin snow cover. Note , flags are for bikes except yellow which is multi use. Skiers advised to stay on ski trails. Please note, no dogs allowed on course. Dec. 31st - Conditions
Sunny conditions make for soft biking and skiing treks. Most trails refreshed on the 31st. Conditions for both ski and fat bikes are soft. Enjoyable first thing in the morning and the evening. Conditions OK for bikes, watch for soft patches of snow and hard sections of ice. Most tracks for xc remain intact. Happy New Year to all those who use the trails! December 28th, 2025 - Conditions Report
Overall Conditions are soft but enjoyable. Skiing All trails have been groomed. Conditions are soft but will firm up over night. Ski trails have at least one set of tracks and have been groomed for skate. Remember, blue and green flags indicate trails for bikes. Walkers please use yellow flag trails. Fat Bikes Almost all fat bike trails have been groomed but conditions are powdery in some locations. Be mindful of thin snow pack that hides ice underneath. SNO is volunteer run.

December 26th Update
Conditions at Shaganappi for skiing remain fair. There is a thin layer of new snow. Watch for ice underneath new snow. All ski trails have been groomed. No new tracks have been set. Reminder: Flagged blue and green trails are for bikes. Blue and green fat bike trails have been groomed. Yellow remains ungroomed. Fat bike trails are in good condition.
