We only had one volunteer available to groom Saturday night, and the focus was on the beginner area within the driving range (east of the main parking lots).
The main ski trail system is hard packed and fast, and one CANSI instructor reported today that the track setting is still in great shape.
Considering we've got such a shallow base of compact snow Shaganappi is holding up well, skiing is fantastic!
There are a few places where the snow coverage is thin: the usual locations with a bad combination of trees, asphalt cart path underneath, and lots of sun and wind exposure.
Hopefully this week, SNO volunteers will be able to do more snow shovelling onto the trail sections that need more snow using the scoop shovels we have readily available by the clubhouse. (If you want to help, send us an email!)
We may have a volunteer able to go out to groom the skate lanes Sunday night...stay tuned!
