Yesterday morning all skate lanes were 'scarified' so they weren't icy. This morning a volunteer will go out to do the same.
The tracks have degraded quite a bit due to the prolonged warm weather and are shallow in many places. Expect icy, poor conditions for classic skiers. We will need a significant snowfall for the tracks to be reset.
Shared Fat Bike & Snowshoe Trail Conditions
Trails are running fast and are quite fun right now. Try to go earlier in the day when temperatures are cooler.
If you are in between the pink or brown flags, you are on-trail and please make sure to stay on-trail.
Volunteers worked hard this past week to get these trails back into shape, spending 6+ hours digging out the snow drifts, and re-routing the pink pin flagged system away from the icy sketchy sections using tree branches.
Studded tires are highly recommended.
