End of the Winter Season at Shaganappi

With this week of warm weather, the winter season at Shaganappi is officially over. Thank you to all of the volunteers who made this season as successfully as it could be, considering the warm winter that we've had.

Highlights for SNO this season included:

  • A growing network of winter sport enthusiasts that have subscribed to these updates

  • A stable friends of SNO membership base (thank you to everyone that chipped in!)

  • An awesome Chinook Blast weekend with record attendance from skiers, fat bikers, and snowshoers

  • A successful casino application which will mean even better grooming and conditions in the future (stay tuned in the coming years!)

  • Snow harvesting and fencing setup at the driving range for beginners and lessons

  • Supporting the Calgary Ski Club with grooming and tracksetting for the Lake Louise Loppet

A big volunteer effort goes into removing all of the winter signage, pin flags, etc. so if you're interested in volunteering in the next couple of weeks, let us know.

The only ones enjoying these end of the season conditions are the magpies! See you next season!
