The snow base is increasing and with the snow in the forecast, let's keep our fingers crossed that nordic skiing conditions will improve. Conditions are currently considered to be very marginal, with bare, exposed spots continuing to be present and many areas having very thin snow cover.
This photograph is from Wednesday, December 16th. The view of Calgary's beautiful downtown can be distracting! If you look carefully, you can see pavement in the foreground. Conditions are great for walking, with no ice being present.
